This centrifuge is a three phase machine designed specifically for processing oily sludges. The proprietary invention incorporated into the Vertical Disk Centrifuge is the combination of the solids conveying scroll, present in horizontal centrifuges, with the disc stack present in most vertical centrifuges. This enables Scaltech’s proprietary Vertical Disk Centrifuge to effectively separate high solids concentration stable emulsions in one step.
The Scaltech’s proprietary Vertical Disk Centrifuge subjects the sludge to 7,000 Gs and the with the 140 discs in the “stack”, more thoroughly separates or “breaks” the stable emulsion into its component parts of oil, water and solids. The combination of a disk stack and solids conveyor allows high solids to be effectively processed.
The effluent oil from the Scaltech’s proprietary Vertical Disk Centrifuge is less than 1% BS&W. The water discharge can be controlled to less than 100 ppm total suspended soils as part of Scaltech’s proprietary Vertical Disk Centrifuge based process system. The solids exit the Scaltech’s proprietary Vertical Centrifuge in a water slurry which does not contain any free oil.
